We will rehearse our music concentrating on phrasing, dynamics, and tempo changes. There will be ample opportunity for improvisation!
WOW!: The Troubadours will be singing at least THREE songs in 2-part harmony as well. This Season we will learn 2-part harmonies for Carry Me, Perfect Love, and one other. I am excited to see how this experience will transform you.
If you love to sing in harmony with others, register now! Music reading requirements are minimal, though helpful. We ask that you be comfortable with your singing voice and that you are a shower singer, a freeway diva, or an “I love to sing in harmony with others” sort of person!
Our choir is open to anyone who loves to sing, and is committed to singing in 2-part harmony, (You will choose the lower or higher melody.) You will have sheet music, and a recording to practice with at home.
Our choir will rehearse and sing with the audience, encouraging them to use their voices for health, healing, and transformation. Our vision is to provide life-affirming, health-supporting, spiritual experiences through singing together in Harmony and Love!
Is this choir for you? Yes, if you love to sing and want to use your voice for an uplifting, meaningful, and inspiring experience. Yes, if you enjoy the idea of singing with an audience of seniors and bringing harmony to their lives. Yes, if you hold a vision of a world transformed by Harmony.
What if this music is all new to me? If you already love singing, you will learn these songs quickly. They are all Harmony-friendly!
NOTE: This is not a traditional choir. There will be sheet music, however, if you have a good ear you may not need it. Most of our songs feature a melody and improvised harmony. This season will also feature at least 3 pieces that have fixed 2-part harmony (a high and low part). Our choir members sing in their own range on notes that are comfortable for them. We will all become adept at singing these harmonies, which will not only thrill the audience, they will thrill you!
Our Music and Mission: We share songs by HG Moses that celebrate the beauty of Nature, the wonder of Cosmos, and the healing power of Love. Our non-denominational lyrics merge the languages of science and spirituality in a music that is filled with beauty, passion, and spiritual expression. Singing this music empowers us with a greater sense of Destiny, Purpose, and Meaning. We seek transformation through Harmony and Love!
