Composer’s Notes:
The lyrics “Fly away home” simply state our desire that the departed soul separates completely from this world and moves fully into the Light.
We begin this song by first naming aloud those who we are sending into the Light.
The clap at the end of each verse shatters the sweetness of our earthly song. We conclude each verse with a unison clap of our hands. We maintain a moment of silence at the conclusion of the song.
